Every generation must find the words that speak truth into its time.

The world our congregations inhabit has changed. And with it, the preaching moment has changed. The pulpit is no longer insulated from the public square. Silence is often heard as agreement. Ambiguity can be perceived as avoidance. Moral clarity can feel costly—but so can vagueness. With this convening of preachers in 2026, we are helping you both refine your craft and discern their courage.

Preach 2026 grew out of a simple but persistent recognition: something has shifted in the preaching moment, and many of us have felt it for some time. Across traditions and contexts, preachers have been carrying questions that no longer have easy answers: how to speak truthfully in divided communities, how to hold faith in the face of uncertainty, how to proclaim something that is both ancient and urgently needed now.

For years, gatherings like the Festival of Homiletics offered inspiration and connection, and we honor that lineage. But as conversations continued in sanctuaries, classrooms, outdoors and Zoom calls, it became clear that what is needed now is not only inspiration, but formation. Preach 2026 emerges from that shared awareness and a growing desire to create a space where preachers can come together not just to listen, but to wrestle, to learn, and to strengthen one another for the work ahead.

About PREACH
A gathering at a time when preaching feels different than it did even a decade ago.
Preaching

Hear from preachers who are willing to engage the realities of this moment with honesty, depth, and conviction. These are voices shaped not only by craft, but by the courage to speak where it matters most.

PROCESS

Go beyond the sermon itself and step into the preacher’s process. These live interviews open up how ideas are formed, shaped, and delivered in real ministry contexts.

Storytelling

At the heart of theological imagination is a story that helps people make meaning of their lives. Together, we will explore how storytelling can deepen connection, awaken creativity, and carry truth in ways that linger.

Workshops

Workshops offer focused, practical tools you can bring directly into your preaching and leadership. Each session is designed to meet you in the real challenges you face and help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
